MAPP Email Draft (IT FAILED!)

I dare you to ask your parents to buy you Grand Theft Auto (for whatever console you have. there should be one for the DS) lol jk

you're 13. Your parents still have control over you until you're of legal moving-out age (16-18 ish) and i'm assuming they're buying the games for you? (you don't have a job, and i take it you probably are getting an allowance or they just buy it for you) Just because you just became a teenager doesn't mean you have control over your life yet. Parents can honestly do what they want. You might be able to pull some "child abuse" stuff but most of them don't work, especially if your parents are good parents in the long run. Did they ever tell you that you're too young to play pokemon (thinking it's a children's game)? I mean look at what you said, you saw 8-11 year old kids checking out pokemon cards, and you're 13 yeah it's not that far away in age but your parents might think "You need to grow up some day" i mean yeah most of us are 15+ but really, if you look at the posts, they're all mostly childish (hell i even post rediculous posts at times)

I would just go with the arguement "Mom...Dad... It's just a game that i like to play. It keeps me quiet right? So why are you complaining about it?" and keep reminding them "it's just a game." I'm sure you can find flaws in their arguement not associated in pokemon (like something they do that kids always do that don't involve food, sleep and so on. like leizure activities) maybe your dad watches spongebob or old cartoons currently or something.

ahh if there View Pokemon is Satanic then he would be better off getting a priest or someone with authority in his reglion to convince them that it's just a kids game and there's nothing harmful by playing it

I know. I just don't follow GTA and didn't know if it came out yet or not. Besides, as Engineer stated, that wasn't the point of my post.

Under the age of 16 (in most places) sometimes 17, parents have to teach their kids, to what they think, to go to the right path. His parents believe it's satanic (which it's understandable why) and think that Dead End might start viewing things differently if they got rid of Pokemon in the household all together. at the age of 13, you can't really do anything. If you go against your parents, they'll just kick you out at the earliest age possible (i've seen this happen to people) and the kids end up being rebelious and eventually go into crime (seen this happen too).

depends on who their priest is. IF it was the priest's idea that pokemon is satanic then it'd be pointless.

I would say scrap that mail totally. What you're doing is trying to prove your parent's beliefs are wrong. All you want to do is play pokemon right?

What i want to ask you is this:
What are your other hobbies?
Do you cause trouble in school (aka do your teachers yell at you)? Explain Why if so.
What do you do all day when not playing pokemon?
So you hang out with your school buddies? Explain why or why not.

Edit: 1 more question - Do you cause trouble to your parents? Like do you constantly argue with them? If yes, how many times do you tell them "I HATE YOU!" for not letting you do what you want to do. (like approx)

- reason why i'm asking is because there are ways to persuade your parents to let you play pokemon without them thinking of satanism.


I'll try to help you out on playing pokemon, but going against religious beliefs are just a stupid idea. (Besides, isn't it a bit contradictory that the site claims they won't tolerate religious or political arguements when Kloud and Richie help you go against your parent's beliefs?)
