Well you heard right. Pokémon will be having it's own Melee, where you fight for the best. It is a WiiWare game, selling for 1500 Points. The release date for Japan is on June 16th. Everywhere else has yet to be announced.
Controls
Controls have yet to be fully explained. But we do know that you will be needing the Wii Remote and Nunchuck for most battles, or having the Wii Remote alone in a sideways horizontal position. We aren't sure if there are any other ways to take hold of the remote yet.
The Terminal
The Terminal is basically the main screen of the game. At The Terminal you can do a variety of things. Such as:
1.
Unknown Recruiting: The top-left area in the Terminal will drop out special Pokémon. This area will drop Pokémon out if you find their specific tickets after you have released other Pokémon. Alternatively, the official site will occasionally post passwords for special Pokémon. These passwords will be posted in the Password section when they are announced
2.
Pokémon Releasing: If you have too many of a certain Pokémon or wish to get rid of some, you do so in the blue shed. Once you remove a Pokémon, they will leave you a special ticket which may be used to obtain other Pokémon in the previously mentioned area.
3.
Attack Teaching: The third area, a roulette of sorts will allow you to exchange the currency earned in the main game for new attacks for your Pokémon. As your Pokémon can only have two attacks in this game, you'll have to think more strategically than in the main games.
4.
Wii Remote: The fourth area will allow you to transfer some of your Pokémon from this game onto your Wii Remote in order for you to take it to a friend's house to play with your own Pokémon.
5.
Multiplayer: The fifth area is where you need to go to select the multiplayer game. This accesses the multiplayer Battle Royale mode. Work in co-operation with them to get through the Battle Royale and also try to beat their score.
6.
Collection: The sixth area gives you access to look at the Pokémon whom you have obtained within the game.
7.
Information: The final area allows you to get into the options of the game as well as view pictures you take while in the game.
Story Mode
There is many different ways you can play Pokémon Scramble. One way is a Story Mode. At the end of every level you will encounter a Legendary Pokémon. There will be Pokémon that are considered Boss Pokemon. You can be multiple Pokemon, to get them you must play through Story Mode to obtain them. You can obtain new pokemon by doing story mode by finding them , fighting them and then after you defeat them a toy of that pokemon will appear on the floor.
Battle Royale
Another way you can play the game, is through a section called Battle Royale. To get her,e you must be at a certain level. In here you can battle dozens and dozens of pokemon, at random times just coming out. As you win constantly, you rank up, and continue to fight stronger Pokemon(like mt. battle or Battle Tower). At the end of each round, you will face the sihlouetted boss Pokémon.
You can also do a two to four player game in the Battle Royale if you ever want to play with a friend(s). You compete with eachother, killing the Pokemon you face individually. At the end of each round/rank, the person who defeated the most Pokemon wins.
Passwords
What is new about this game is that there are special or secret passwords you put into the game from your wii remote, and then you unlock more Pokemon. The data is actually stored in your Wii Remote. When you go over another persons house, to play this game using your own wii remote. You can use your own Pokémon. That is an advantage cause you wont all have the exact same Pokémon, so it is like a Pokémon battle on the DS, you have your own Pokemon.
During the game you cam take screenshots and share them to other people. Just like in Super Smash Bros. Brawl...
